In short, they are breaking copyright laws and patent laws. The makers of fake and replica watches mainly do it for profit. But why they just don’t make their own design and trade mark? It will take a long time before a newly created product gets popular in the market. By making fake and/or replica watches, they can easily catch the attention of consumers. Why? Because consumers will think that they can acquire the product in a lower price compared to the original, why waste a lot of money in buying the original when you can have it at a lower price? Replica watches are almost the same as the original, they both tell time! If you just want to know what the time is, or need to be updated for different events and wanted to feel that you are using a Rolex watch, then why buy original for $1500 if you can buy an almost exact replica for only $400? In these days, it is better to be practical than to throw out a huge bunch of money. Besides, you just want to know the time, right?
